As 2020 comes to an end we can’t help but to reflect back on a year of unimaginable changes. COVID-19 has affected the way we work, live and play. The MillerWark Team has pivoted to this new normal while still providing the very best for our clients. We are all looking forward to a new year where we are able to connect with family and loved ones once again.
REAL ESTATE NEWS
Despite the pandemic, the Greater Vancouver real estate market had what some are calling a record-breaking year. Detached home sales across Greater Vancouver are up 27% over last year with gross sales up 37% and attached sales across Greater Vancouver are up 28% over last year with gross sales up 35%.
As for home prices, with high demand and low supply and incredibly low-interest rates, average home prices are increasing once again. The current MLS® Home Price Index benchmark price for a single-family home in the Lower Mainland reached $1,331,700 which is a 10.3% increase over last year.
Thank you to all our clients who allowed us to guide you through your buying and selling journey this year. Our team managed to sell a total of 43 homes(and counting) to date! We have all of you to thank for contributing to these sales as we had the highest number of referrals than any past year which is incredibly appreciated.
GIVING BACK
This holiday season, charitable organizations have seen a massive increase in the need for donations due to COVID-19. We wanted to provide some financial relief to local Northshore families so the MillerWark Real Estate Team partnered with the North Shore Christmas Bureau to do just that. It was a humbling experience being able to give back to our community at a time when they need it most.
