What are presales?
In Metro Vancouver, buying presale is an excellent option for those in the market for a new home. Presales are strata developments sold by a developer prior to the completion of the building.
How much do you typically put down on a presale unit?
In order to purchase a presale suite, developers usually require a 15-20% down payment over the course of the development period. This payment is spread out over a period of time and is held in a trust account until the building is completed.
When is the full price due?
Once the deposit is paid in full, the remaining purchase price won’t be due until completion allowing you additional time for savings.
